Sichuan Provincial Key Laboratory for Service Science and Innovation

The academic research team of the laboratory has been committed to the application of cutting-edge research methods and tools related with Behavioral Management and Economics, has focused on several major fundamental theoretical issues in the field of service science, and has formed a good international reputation among domestic and foreign academic peers. With the continuous financial supports from the Innovation Team of the Ministry of Education (MOE) (the only one in Sichuan management category) and the Provincial Key Laboratory (the only one in Sichuan management category), the team has obtained National Natural Science Foundation Major Project (the only one in Sichuan management category) and National Key Research and Development Project of China. For the past five years, the laboratory has newly presided over 26 national projects and 51 provincial and ministerial projects, with the number of national management projects ranking among the top four in Sichuan Province. The team has published over 500 academic papers in high-level journals at home and abroad, including more than 180 SCI/SSCI papers and 350 papers on domestic core journals. These research outcomes have brought the team more than ten Sichuan Social Science Outstanding Achievement Awards, including five second awards, which ranks among the best in Sichuan management category. Also, the research team has published 19 academic monographs.

Besides, the laboratory team serves Sichuan Provincial government and enterprises, and provides management and consultation services for them. Nearly 60 projects have been approved, with a project value of more than 13 million yuan. With the endeavor and strength of the service science and innovation research team of Southwest Jiaotong University, and under the support of the provincial key laboratory, both management disciplines (Management Science & Engineering and Business Administration) have been graded B+ in the fourth round of discipline evaluation by MOE (ranking top 20% of the country) , tying for second place in Sichuan.
