Herbert A. Simon & Reinhard Selten Behavioral Decision Research Lab

Under the personal guidance of Professor Reinhard Selten, winner of 1994 Nobel Prize in Economics and president of European Economic Association, the School of Economics and Management of SWJTU found the Herbert A. Simon & Reinhard Selten Behavioral Decision Research Lab in 2005. In strict accordance with standards of software and hardware of Economics Laboratory at the University of Bonne, Germany, one of the three academic centers of experimental management and experimental economics in the world, the Herbert A. Simon & Reinhard Selten Behavioral Decision Research Lab is a first-class behavioral decision research lab in China.

 



Concentrating on individual behavior and decision research, Herbert A. Simon & Reinhard Selten Behavioral Decision Research Lab mainly adopts computer online experiments to collect behavior decision of the subjects under certain circumstances so as to investigate and explore principal factors that influence the subjects’ decision. In addition, focus group interview room is also built. This lab has carried out a series of cooperative experimental researcher with universities abroad, including Cooperate Governance Experiment with Reinhard Selten, Noble Laureate and lab academic director of University of Bonn, Cross- cultural Experiments with Heike Schimit, lab director of University of Bonn, Auction Games with Stiven from Max Planck Institute, and other experiments with other scholars such as Trust Game, Public Goods, Reciprocity and so on. The lab team has carried out following researches: corruption behavior research, auction experiment, experiment of influence on senior executives’ salary design of overconfidence, social network experiment and so on.
