July 5, 2025 | Leshan—School of Economics and Management (SEM) warmly welcomed its alumni back to Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU) for the university’s 129th Anniversary Homecoming. Representing the school, Ms. JIANG Jia, Secretary of the CPC SEM Committee, and YAN Libin, Deputy Division Organizer of SEM, joined the celebrations.
Over 140 alumni from the Financial Accounting, Tourism Management, and E-commerce programs, spanning cohorts from 1991 to 2002, traveled from across the country for the long-awaited reunion. They returned to their alma mater to reconnect with old friends and relive cherished memories.

The afternoon’s events commenced at Teaching Building 6 on the E’mei Campus, where SEM leaders and faculty greeted the returning alumni. The gathering was filled with laughter and lively conversation as everyone reconnected, sharing memories of their time at the university and updates on their lives since graduation.

The group proceeded to Mingcheng Hall for SWJTU’s 129th Anniversary Ceremony. The hall buzzed with energy as alumni from all schools celebrated their alma mater's history and achievements. During the event, WU Chao, a 2001 Tourism Management alumnus, took part in the launch ceremony for the new E’mei Campus Alumni Center.

After the ceremony, alumni and faculty gathered at the Mingshan Film Studio for group photos, capturing the joyful moments of the day against a scenic backdrop. These images will be preserved in the university’s archives, serving as a lasting testament to the deep bonds of the SWJTU community and an inspiration for future generations.

The homecoming was more than just a chance to look back; it strengthened the lifelong connection between the alumni, their school, and the university. SEM looks forward to continuing its close partnership with its alumni, working together to build an even brighter future.
