May 6, 2025 | Hong Kong—The School of Economics and Management (SEM), Southwest Jiaotong University (SWJTU), participated in the Asian Century Forum 2025, held at the Cheng Yu Tung Building of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School during April 28 to 29. Themed "Entrepreneurship, Sustainability, Global," the forum was co-hosted b by MBAChina and MBA Program of The CUHK Business School, bringing together over 70 business school leaders, educational experts, entrepreneurs, and industry representatives from across Asia. Led by Professor Li Haibo, Director of Professional Degree Education Center at SEM, SWJTU, the delegation engaged in high-level discussions aimed at exploring innovative pathways for advancing business education throughout the region.
The event opened with welcoming remarks from Professor Zhou Lin, Dean of CUHK Business School, and Mr. Zhang Shihua, Founder and CEO of MBAChina. Keynote addresses were delivered by distinguished speakers including Mr. Peter Yan JP, Director-General of the Office for Attracting Strategic Enterprises, HKSAR Government; Professor Huang Zhuo, Associate Dean of National School of Development (NSD), Fa Shu Scholar, and Dean of BiMBA Business School at NSD, Peking University; and Professor Ye Qiang, Executive Dean of School of Management, Dean of International Institute of Finance, and Executive Dean of School of Technology and Business at the University of Science and Technology of China; Dr. Gao Zhenguang, Administrative Director of MBA Program at CUHK, also presented a comprehensive overview of the school’s MBA offerings, highlighting best practices in program design and global engagement.
At the culminating Asian Business School Awards Ceremony, SEM was honored with three major accolades, underscoring its growing influence and leadership in management education.
