Executive Dean Guo Qiang was invited to the 20th AMBA&BGA Business School Capacity Building Seminar

On March 6th-7th, 2023, the 20th AMBA&BGA Business School Capacity Building Seminar was jointly hosted by Shanghai University, Zhejiang University Global Entrepreneurship Research Center, Zhejiang Behavioral Science Society, and the International Entrepreneurship Education Alliance in Shanghai. Over 200 people, including deans and vice deans from over 80 business schools nationwide, attended the conference. Guo Qiang, Executive Dean of the School of Economics and Management at Southwest Jiaotong University, Wang Yifan, Director of the International Accreditation Center, and Zhu Bo, Deputy Director of the Professional Degree Center, were invited to participate in the conference.

Professor Wang Chongming, member of the AMBA&BGA International Advisory Committee, General Advisor for China, senior professor of humanities at Zhejiang University, and director of the Zhejiang University Global Entrepreneurship Research Center, chaired the conference and gave a keynote speech along with Professor Chen Fangruo from the Antai College of Economics and Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Professor Xi Youmin, Executive President of Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University. In addition, the conference invited nearly 40 deans from business schools to engage in discussions and workshops on topics such as business school capacity building strategies, model majors, and the construction of demonstration courses through roundtable discussions and special speeches.

Guo Qiang was invited to participate in the Roundtable Forum on Business School Capacity Building Strategies and delivered a speech, focusing on the positive explorations made by the school in constructing a "three-in-one" composite management talent development model that integrates management, technology, industry background, social responsibility, and humanistic sentiments, with the goal of building a distinctive "Triple Convergence" talent development model at Jiaotong University. This approach aims to continuously improve the school's ability to serve society, students' innovative problem-solving abilities, and the school's adaptability to changes in market demand.

This conference provided a platform for nationwide universities to exchange experiences in professional development and curriculum construction, and played a positive role in guiding and promoting the high-quality and distinctive development of our school's international accreditation and various degree programs.
