A "super course"

Recently, the first batch of interdisciplinary innovative courses "Sports, Technology and Smart Life" participated by Professor Jiang Yushi of the School of Economics and Management was included in the book "Super Courses—Future Teaching and Learning" by Princeton University, and was hailed as a teaching case with major breakthroughs.

"Sports Technology and Smart Life" takes sports experience as the main line and integrates multidisciplinary knowledge to solve real problems as the starting point. In the process of task-driven team hands-on practice, it stimulates students' intrinsic motivation and cultivates students to form an interdisciplinary knowledge structure, cross-disciplinary knowledge, subject thinking ability and interdisciplinary literacy. It has a significant effect in enhancing students' innovation and creativity.There are eight sessions of the course, taught by an interdisciplinary teaching team composed of Professor Jiang Yushi of our school and other four teachers from the Sports Department, the School of Electrical Engineering, the School of Mechanics, and the School of Mechanical Engineering of Southwest Jiaotong University. In 2020, this course was recognized as the first batch of national first-class courses.

The case "Sports Technology and Smart Life" is listed in Chapter 10, focusing on the interdisciplinary learning of the course.
