In order to improve the teaching ability and professional level of young teachers, the preliminary contest of the School of Economics and Management of the "Tenth Southwest Jiaotong University Teaching Competition for Young Teachers" was successfully held in Room 0218, Jiuli Campus at 2:00 pm on October 28.

The judges for the preliminary competition of the college are served by the deputy director of the professor committee Hongquan Zhu, the deans of the department, Zhenzhong Guan, Jicai Liu, Xiangsheng Dou, Dayong Dong, and the teacher representatives Dongmei Zhao, Yushi Jiang, Jing Zhang and other teachers. Over 60 teachers and students conducted on-site observation.

The school attaches great importance to this teaching competition. More than 20 young teachers signed up to participate, and a total of 5 young teachers were selected and sent to participate in the school competition by recommendation. The participating courses involve undergraduates and graduates including "Project Management", "Financial Management", "Economic Law", "Business Intelligence System", "Strategic Management". All participating teachers have made full preparations and wonderful presentations which show their teaching characteristics of the courses and their teaching styles.

In accordance with the school's competition concept of "Take a good course", each participating teacher showed their style and teaching process within 20 minutes. Their teaching styles were diverse and wonderful. After the lecture of each participating teacher, the judges put forward good opinions and suggestions in terms of teaching content selection, teaching organization design and teaching skills based on their own experience. The judges gave each participating teacher from the aspects of the teaching content, teaching organization, teaching language, teaching attitude and teaching characteristics.

The School Party Secretary Bin Wang and Executive Dean Qiang Guo both have a speak during the competition. They all pointed out that the significance of the teaching competition for young teachers lies not only in the competition itself, but also in the teachers showing their demeanor and learning from each other. For the School of Economics and Management, the classroom is the main "battlefield" for us to foster morality and cultivate outstanding talents. It is the basic skills of teachers to teach good classes and cultivate good people. Conducting lecture competitions is a good presentation of wonderful teaching and exchanges between teachers and learners. It is a good opportunity that all teachers in the school will continue to improve the level of teaching and educating people and achieve good results in various tasks.
