At 3:00 pm on June 11, the 2021 Graduate Growth Report of the School of Economics and Management was held in the University Hall of the Jiuli Campus. Guo Qiang, Executive Dean of SEM, Yang Hongyi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Nie Jiajia, Associate Dean, teacher representatives from various departments, centers and offices of the School, and all the 2021 graduates of the School were present at the scene.

The report was divided into two parts. The first part was a report on the growth of graduates, presided over by Yang Hongyi, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the school.

At the beginning of the report meeting, all teachers and students stood up and sang the national anthem.

After singing the national anthem, Executive Dean Guo Qiang delivered a speech. First of all, he expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the students who successfully completed their studies on behalf of Wang Bin, the Party Secretary of the school who was on a business trip, and the party and government leadership team of the school. He also expressed sincere gratitude to the teachers and parents for their hard work and silent dedication. Guo Qiang pointed out that this graduate growth report is not only a summary of the past, but also an outlook for the future. He put forward three hopes to the graduates: one is to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, work hard, keep making progress, and pursue excellence; the other is to study diligently, be brave in practice, continuously improve their own quality, and strive to become talents; the third is to be responsible, be brave to take responsibility. He emphasized that the graduates should have the spirit of "Successfully and constantly strive for self-improvement", inherit the school's motto of "Knowing through things and making progress together", and write a more exciting chapter in life in the new journey of the future.

Yang Hongyi, the Deputy Secretary of the party committee of the school, announced the winners of the "Si Shi Yang Hua" medal, "Provincial Outstanding Graduates", and "School-Level Outstanding Graduates". The Dean, Guo Qiang, issued certificates to the winners. Then, Hongyi Yang announced the list of winners of the 2021 Undergraduate Special Commendation of the School, and the Deputy Dean Nie Jiajia issued certificates to the winners.

Representative of undergraduate graduates - Lanyu Yue (from the Major of Economics 2017), representative of graduate student support group- Jingze An (from the Major of International Economics and Trade 2017) and the representative of graduate students-Jia Jia (the doctoral student of 2014) respectively gave growth reports.

After the growth report of the three student representatives, Yang Hongyi announced the winners of "My Favorite Teacher" selected by the undergraduate graduates of SEM. They are Zhang Jing, Dou Xiangsheng, and Wang Mingliang. Dean Guo Qiang issued awarded trophies and certificates to them.

The winner of "My Favorite Teacher" -  Zhang Jing gave a report on behalf of Teachers. She quoted a famous celebrity saying "If there is no dream, my rocket can't go to the sky. If there is only a dream, my rocket can't go to the sky.", hoping that graduates will not be afraid of difficulties and obstacles to make progress.

At the end of the graduate growth report, all the students stood up and sang the school song.

The second part is the graduation message, hosted by two graduates Fan Chunyu and Wei Shuhui. The big screen of the auditorium first played the commemorative MV "Into the Sea" performed by the 2021 undergraduate graduates, telling the story of the students of SEM on the Jiuli campus. Then, the video of the 2021 undergraduate counselor's message was played on the big screen. In the video, every counselor sent his/her best wishes and expectations. Finally, everyone followed the 2021 graduate student commemorative video and walked into the gallery of memories together.

Outside the growth report venue, the school also carefully prepared a message board for each graduate student, and a bouquet with greeting cards for everyone to take photos. The name of the graduate and his blessings are written on the card. Graduates also signed their messages on the message boards and wrote down their best wishes to their classmates and themselves.

After the report meeting, the school prepared an exquisite buffet for everyone. Here, everyone gathered together, talked about dreams, meets far away, and enjoyed delicious food. The university time passed quickly, all the bitterness and hardship melted in this sweet cake, and all the goodness and happiness also flowed into this report meeting.
